What will be covered?
In this course we will be covering many points about both HTML and CSS for example creating a simple web page, importing images and everything there is to know about HTML as well as the full range of common styling techniques.
Am I going to build a website?
We will be building a website throughout the project and the source code will be suplied for those particular lectures.
Are there any innovative new ways of teaching?
A range of different teaching techniques will be used including one where I will provide a section of a website and suggest that you comment the code to encourage a good habbit and demonstrate your understaning.
I explain what HTML is and how it uses HTTP to display on the web through a compatible browser.
We Create a simple Hello World Script
We look at the code of one of my favourite teching resources example.com.
I show you the most common elements of the head tag.
We explore the body element of html code and I demonstrate some of the wonderful things that you can do with it.
We look at ways to lay out your code for effeciency and easy editing at a later date.
We look at 'P' tags and their place in html code.
I demonstrate the basics of links including how to make a link open in a new tab and what the term 'href' means.
I explain how to import and format an image for your website using html.
We look at how to create a form and make some simple text and password fields.
We look at radio buttons and checkboxes.
We look at dropdown menus and text areas.
We look at the basic structure for html tables
I demonstrate how to add the filling into your tables.
We look at Internal Frames which allow us to embed external content in the page.
We look at the brief Formatting/Styling function in html.
I show off my template layout and we begin work on our project.
In this lecture we start to develop the base structure of a homepage in a website.
I encorporate and image to a second page and show you how to link the pages together.
We build the contact page and include a table of contact details with a MAILTO function.

We take a look at example.com once again and I show you the default css.

I am a 17 year old Student and Web Developer from the United Kingdom.
I have developed web applications for 4 years now and have worked on several freelance projects. I enjoy programming and wish to pursue it as a full time career in the future. I also enjoy helping people to learn about the things that I love.
