Stand Up Comedian and Teacher

Kelly Ryan started doing stand up comedy at the age of 17 in New York City. After taking a class at Caroline's on Broadway, she fell in love with the art form. While getting a Bachelor's in Communication Studies at Texas Christian University, she was on the comedic improv team, Senseless Acts of Comedy. While she was on the team she also taught the improv class Loose Ends, once a week, for all seven semesters. Kelly has also opened stand up for SNL's Vanessa Bayer, Aidy Bryant and NBC's Parks and Recreation's Retta. She has opened with improv for NBC The Office's BJ Novak.

While being a Communication major, Kelly thrived in Public Speaking courses and loved collaborating with her classmates. She was also involved in the Student Filmmaker's Association for seven semesters, taking on roles such as 1st AD and Script Supervisor. She now lives in Southern California and is pursuing a career as a stand up comedian.
