Basic Tools
11 Lectures 57:25

In this video we’ll learn something vital and very important… our hands inside the program to grab things, move, rotate, scale and modify them.

I’m talking about the pointers. The black pointer, Selection Tool, and the white pointer, Direct Selection Tool.
Selection Tool and Direct Selection Tool
03:08

It is important to make zoom in and out the document, to move around, and set the view fit on the screen. This we could navigate to far view or to closer details to modify the little objects, or inside a zoomed area we would like to move around.

Zoom and Pan
04:26

In this video we’re going to learn something basic but very important… I mean, the right way to duplicate and copy graphic objects: general copying, duplicating and pasting.

Copy, paste and duplicate
04:33

This is very short tip… but very important too. When we have objects inside Illustrator, they have a position above or underneath relative to the other objects.

Arrange objects up and down
04:57

This video is dedicated to learn the techniques to align objects in the space. This can be between them, or about the page, or about a guide object used as reference.
Aligning and distribute objects
06:20

In this video we’ll learn how to work with colors, these are: line strokes and color fills in general terms.

07:05

This time, we’ll learn about specific lesson: Grouping and Ungrouping several graphic objects inside Adobe Illustrator.

Group and Ungroup
04:33

This time, we’ll see a fundamental concept, how to transform the graphics inside Illustrator. When I say transform, I am referring to Move, to Rotate, to Scale, to Reflect, among other transformations we can do to objects to mold them according to what we need.
Basic transforms: Move, rotate, scale, reflect and skew
09:44

This time, we’re going to learn something that is going to be very funny and it’s related to graphics fusion, to make intersection, cut them, so they can unite or take off parts to another graphics.

Designing Icons
10 Lectures 01:31:12

During this tutorial we'll see how to draw professional icons. The first step is how to start working with icons. Modern icon’s primary purpose is usually for web pages, games and mobile applications.
And we can learn a little bit from google, and his new design atmosphere, named "Google material design".
Icons design fundamentals
05:29

The main purpose of this tutorial is to learn "how to design amazing icons" using illustrator. We'll draw message balloon icon with many shades of red.a flat bevel to create a deep feel and a fancy shadow projection. This icon is build using only basic shapes like triangles and rounded squares.

Chat icon flat design
09:03

The icon we'll going to draw is commonly used to represent a man user.

Base on basic geometric shapes like circle,  ovals with missing parts, inclined rectangle, half ovals with rounded corners. And typical shadows 45 degrees and some cuts to create light and shadows. we'll going to draw this icon of a man.

3D on Adobe Illustrator CC
11 Lectures 01:26:39

Since a long time ago, the software Adobe Illustrator, has the feature for making 3D objects. This Illustrator 3D is pretty modest. But it can help us to make very interesting things, in a vector environment.
Preview 07:03

To test the things that we can do with Illustrator's 3D tools, we’re going to extrude objects, just as an exercise.

Making some dices
07:21

Going on with the 3D instructions, let’s try to make measuring tape.

Making a 3D Measuring tape
06:25

Continuing with Extrude option, let’s start with this elements: a tree icon, a cloud and layers of the Earth.
Preview 04:44

Now, I want to put textures to each one of these layers. For that, I’ll help from geometrical figures.

Layers of the earth - 3D extrude (part 2)
12:47

Continuing with the Extrude and 3D, let’s try to develop a gift box. For that, we have 2 rectangles, and 3 lines that are going to be the ribbons.

10:44

Let’s use another feature named Revolve instead of Extrude. For that, I’ve brought some vectors, available for you, some half objects that are based on radial figures.

Revolve concept
09:55

We can use  Revolve with many object to create complex 3D illustrations. Here we have 4 examples.

Revolve with many parts
12:59

Using many flat vectors we will develop a Sandglass with Revolve in illustrator.
