    How to monetise your hotels using everything that Facebook has! In the last few weeks Facebook has been rolling out updates like a machine gun.

    It is absolutely brilliant what Facebook can do for you today. Today most of the times people use Facebook Ads to drive traffic to their website but most of the times it is seen that the results are not as desired! But you know what? Like everything else in life there are few subtle tweaks that you have to make and everything works if you know those tweaks. So here I am going to share a few of those tricks that you can use in your Facebook Ads.

    When you generate traffic from a Facebook lead going to your website and then eventually going into your booking engine, we all know that booking engine conversions are less than 0.5 in most cases and in some cases even lower. So you don’t want to send your Facebook traffic over there.

    Here’s what you should do:

    • 1)To sell your rooms, you can have a room only package which is available only on Facebook. So, create a Facebook only offer, making it a time sensitive offer; you could say it expires in 2 hours or 24 hours and say it is available only on your Facebook page. Showcase a great offer showing your room and have people clicking and coming to a separate landing page. That landing page can have a payment gateway or it can have a click to call option which means when somebody sees that offer and when they click on it, it reaches a click to call opportunity where your reservation team gets a query, a hot lead from somebody who is willing to make a booking in the next few hours or a day. If you have a decent call centre or a reservation team, 10- 15 percent of these hot leads are converted. 10-15 % versus 0.25 - 0.30 percent conversion on a booking engine is the difference that you should try to monetise by adopting this strategy.
    • 2)You can have a click to chat option. Sometimes a customer might be in a meeting, doing multiple things and he does not want to start talking about business on the phone because he is not in the commitment mode just yet. So, he might just start chatting with you, once he starts chatting with you which can be done through a nice click to chat option on a Facebook ad. After this you can start doing two things. You can have automated replies or a person attending to these queries. I always believe some parts can be automatised but the human element should not be missed which simply cannot be replaced by robots. With an amalgamation of automation and humanisation, have that click to chat option along with your replies ready for all the possible queries.
