This lesson is an introduction to the course and explains what you'll do and how we'll proceed through the step-by-step process to achieving your goals.

Section 2: Resolutions, Goals and Why They are Difficult

Before we get to creating an actual resolution you need to identify what you're really trying to accomplish.


Looking at the possible changes in your life can lead to choosing a resolution that makes a bigger difference in your life.

When you're ready download the Possible Resolutions Worksheet and start brainstorming about the changes you want to bring into reality.


We will look at the problem most people have with making resolutions and what hack you can use to avoid the age old trap of picking a lousy one.


You'll be able to list the two core problems that keep most people from achieving their goals and keeping their resolutions.


In this exercise you will identify specific roadblocks that might interfere with you achieving change or sticking to your resolution, so you can plan to avoid them.

Use the Possible Resolutions Worksheet from Lecture 4 for this exercise.


By looking back at times you've tried to set goals or make resolutions you can improve your chances today of succeeding. In this lesson we'll begin a two step process to gather some information from your past experiences to help you create a more effective plan moving forward. We'll start by taking a look at what might have caused you to fall short of your previous goals.


Now that you have a list of things that caused you to fall short, it's time to analyze them to find out how to avoid the same patterns today. By getting clear on what external, internal, short-term and long-term causes are affecting your ability to stick with your resolutions and goals you can create a powerful plan to keep your brand new resolution this year.

Section 3: The Process of Making Powerful Resolutions and Goals

You'll explore and understand that two reasons most people fail to meet goals, and the three things a resolution needs to have to make you stick to it all year.
