If you have a Rubik's cube laying around and would like to conquor it once and for all, this course is for you. It takes you step by step from the hesitant first moves to the confident and satisfying last moves.
The course is an hour long and has multiple example solves at the end in order to give you an idea of how to combine what you have learned in a fluid manner. The video lectures are detailed and can be paused conveniently if you want to review a passage.
With this method you will be able to solve the cube from any scrambled position, so be warned, people will be dazzled and amazed upon your new skill. Other than only being able to solve the cube this method is speed optimal, so with a little practice your solving time will flirt with the one minute barrier.
In this video l'll be showing the sequences needed in order to solve the cube, practice them until you can perform them without looking and fluidly.
The first step of solving the Rubik's cube is the Cross. In this video l go over what it takes to accomplish this task. L will be using the white face as my first Layer so that you may follow along and that you may familiarize yourself with the colors.
This is the Second part of the cross. At the end of the video, there will be some example solves in order to train what you have learned. don't be afraid to scramble the cube, it will make what you have learned stick like glue.
Some cases are harder than others, so l have made a special video for them. In case you encounter them don't panic, just come and watch this video.
Once the Cross is complete we must solve the corners with white color in order for the First Layer to be completely solved
Second part of solving the first layer corners, Practice is the only thing that will make solving easier and faster so after celebrating the fact that you have solved the First layer, scramble the cube and solve it again.
For the middle Layer we only have to solve theedges that fit between the centers, there are only four of them and they are easily recognizable because they are the only edges which don't have a yellow color on them.
Last step in order to solve the First two layers, after this take a deep breath and 5 minutes of a well deserved rest, you are halfway there.
After the middle Layer, we now have to solve a second cross, but this time on the Top Layer. To accomplish this we will use the sequences learned in the introduction video
Orienting the Last Layer corners. There are seven different cases which can all be solved using the sequences showed in the introduction video.
The sune case looks like a fish, it has a lefty inverse so be careful and don't confuse the two.
The cameleon case has two ears that you put on the left before performing the sequences needed.
The headlights case has two headlights that you direct towards the left before performing the sequences needed.
The double headlight case has two double headlights which must be facing you before execution of the solving sequence of moves.
Now That the corners are oriented, we must finish solving them by permuting them in their right place, for this we will only need the Third sequence shown in the introduction video, sol l hope you practiced it and can now perform it flawlessly.
The last step before finishing the cube. After this you will deserve a rest and please share your challenges during the course by leaving a review.
A review of all that has been learned.
There are official competition on solving the Rubik's cube and for these competitions to go well, there is a standard notation used so that competitors may compare scrambles. This video will teach you how to use the official notation, this knowledge will be useful in a further video.
P.S: the notation is intuitive and easy to learn
This is a video going through all the steps learned in this course. Follow along and see if what you have learned is still fresh in your mind.
Now that you can solve the cube, you need to do it faster and the only way of achieving that is through practice, so scramble the cube cube and solve it as many times as you can, this time timing yourself and detecting your weak points.
It's been 5 years since solved the Rubik's cube for the first time and now l can perform this feat in a matter of 15 seconds, The Rubik's cube being the most famous puzzle it's a shame that not many people are able to solve it quickly,There are many guides showing people how to solve it but none of them teach you a very fast method, so challenging myself to see if l could help achieve that goal l taught six of my close friends to solve it and they have now broken the 60 second barrier. l would like to show people that it is very easy to become part of the few Who can solve it in seconds.
Nowadays l attend official competitions where l meet other speedcubers and we share tips and tricks on how to effectively pass on what we have learned without spending the amount of time we did on the cube in the beginning because lectures were nowhere to be found. After realizing that not everyone is willing to put in the amount of time l did to perfect the skill, l have been gathering different ways and methods of facilitating the process and easing the learning experience, concentrating on the essentials of solving a Rubik's cube quickly.
