How to Make a Wordpress Website - Step by Step!!

Every website needs a website address (your domain) and hosting to run your website. We'll go and register both of these together in this lecture.

Plugins are tools that help you customize your wordpress website. In this lecture, we'll install the required page builder plugins to customize the website layout for our pages.

I'll show you some of my favorite plugins I like to install when making a new wordpress website. 

This step provides you with the demo images you can use to follow along in the tutorial. We'll download them here.

In this video we'll show you where to go on Wordpress to upload any type of media content, including the demo images and files.

In this video, we will go over creating pages in Wordpress. The first two pages that we will create are the homepage and the blog page.

In this video we will learn how to customize our slider for our Wordpress homepage.

In this step we will go over how to change our Wordpress settings including site colors, fonts and blog options (and more).

In this step I will walk you through adding some custom code to help format your website.

In this step, we'll walk through creating a custom logo and favicon (site icon) for your website. 

In this section, I will show you how to add the www. in front of your domain and how to choose how you want your URLs to look for your pages and posts.

Earlier, we created the homepage. Now we will add all of the content and create the layout we want for the Wordpress homepage in this section of the course.

The first section of the homepage we will work on is the about section, also known as our products and services section. We'll walk through creating little descriptions and then add them to the website homepage. 

In this section we will create our first call to action with custom button links. I'll show you how to create rows with multiple columns and add background images and colors to your sections.

In this video we'll go over how to create the blog post section for the homepage with a custom title.

Similar to a previous step, we're going to create another call to action for visitors to be redirected to another part of our website here with a call to action that you can customize to look however you want. 

We will finish off the design of our homepage by adding some social media buttons at the footer of our wordpress webpage.

In this video, we will learn how to make another Wordpress webpage for our About Page. I will show you how to format and style text, insert images, upload videos and more. 

In this lecture, we will go over creating a team page for our wordpress website. We'll insert images for team members and create small profiles for each one while customizing our web page with a call to action and social media buttons.

In this video section, we'll go over how to make an image gallery or portfolio for your Wordpress website. 

In this section, we will create a Contact Us page with a contact form and insert an interactive map and call to action for our Wordpress website.

In this section, we will learn how to make a testimonial page which can include any information for potential clients or visitors. 

In this lecture, we will learn how to write blog posts and include featured images, category names and tags. We will also go over how to create additional authors for your blog posts.

In this section, we will cover how to allow or disallow comments to be included in your blog posts. 

In this video, we'll learn how to customize our sidebar with custom widgets and plugins.

In this optional step, we will learn how to translate our entire Wordpress website to make it a multilingual website using a free translation plugin. 

In this step, we will learn how to create a custom header menu for our Wordpress website that will show up at the top of each of our website pages.

In this step, we will learn how to create a custom footer for our Wordpress website that will show up at the bottom of each of our website pages.

In this final step in this tutorial, we will publish our website to make it public.
