You can have an intoxicating marriage! These seven choices are the path to get you there.
Your intoxicating marriage begins with a choice that may seem painfully obvious, but it's the first step that sets you on the right course. We're building a foundation on which other choices will rest.
We're continuing to build the foundation in choice #2. You'll have to decide if you're going to go "all in" or if you're going to hold back. The 50-50 relationship where you do your part and your spouse does their part won't get you anywhere near intoxicating. You've got to commit to 100%.
In this session, we'll look at your highest priorities. You'll learn why coming in third is actually winning. We'll also introduce God's role in marriage and why it's vital that He's involved.
We're starting to get super practical now. In this session you'll "go to class" as you choose to become a student of your spouse. As you complete the assignment (What I Need From You), you'll discover and understand your spouse's greatest needs. This is a critical step to complete before moving on to choice #5.
In this session, you'll take what learned in choice #4 and begin to use that knowledge to meet your spouse's needs and wants. You'll also learn how to stop a lot of arguments before they even start. And you'll learn how to ask your spouse for what you need in a way that will help you feel understood and won't put your spouse on the defensive. Be sure to download and answer the "Mild and Spicy Intimacy Questions" where you'll share your sexual desires with each other.
In this session, you'll discover the importance of emotional and sexual connection. You'll learn that God is very pro-sex. It was, after all, His idea. You'll learn how men and women view sex differently and how powerful it can be in bonding them to each other. Be sure to check out the "24 Fun and Sexy Ideas" sheet if you're looking for some creative ideas in the bedroom! (I love #9!)
We'll break it down very clearly to understand what (or what isn't) contributing to your marriage's intoxication level.
In this session, you'll learn how to grow spiritually and the importance of knowing and believing the truth about yourself. Unless we experience good emotional and spiritual health, we'll never experience the kind of marriage we desire. Be sure to download the eBook, "I Believe God: a 40-day adventure."
As great as having an intoxicating marriage is, it's not enough. We were made for something greater. Use the "Discovering Your SHAPE" worksheet to begin discovering the unique design and calling on your marriage.
You're going to discover three spices that can take your marriage from mild to spicy. They may seem overly simple at first, but don't underestimate their power. Also, download the eBook, "The Marriage Experiment." It contains thirty days of activities to bond you together spiritually, emotionally and sexually.
