    This lecture will introduce the Audacity product and some of its basic features, and will show you how to use it to record and save your vocals. It will also talk a bit about how to deal with mistakes made during recording.

    This lecture will cover how to edit the audio you recorded in step one to fix any mistakes you made, and to eliminate imperfections in the audio that arose during the recording process. Specifically, the lecture will cover the following items:

    1. Normalization
    2. Reviewing your audio and marking the location of defects in your file
    3. Removing your defects
    4. Replacing removed audio
    5. Removing background noise

    This lecture will cover how to add a musical intro to your audio to make it sound more professional. It will teach you:

    1. How to obtain free music for use in your intro

In this course, I’m going to teach you how to use Audacity to create high-quality audio. Once you’ve gone through the lessons I’m about to teach you, you will have at your disposal the tools and techniques necessary to spin out top-notch audio info products - audiobooks, podcasts, seminars, etc. - and all using just your computer, a simple microphone, and the 100% free Audacity tool that you can download and use all you like. After completing this course, you will know how to use Audacity to record vocals, edit them to remove any mistakes or flaws, add a musical intro to your recording, and produce an "iPod-ready" MP3 version of your product, complete with meta tags.

The course materials are provided in two formats for your convenience: video and audio. The video / audio lectures total about 40 minutes.
