The majority of people never set goals for themselves because the only experience with goals they have is New Years resolutions and with those they failed miserably. This experience leads most people to feeling they do not have the character or discipline to achieve goals and so they don’t set them and just drift through life.
This does not need to be the case. Setting goals and achieving them is easy once you know how to do it. The most successful people have found that these three simple steps are all you need to create goals and achieve their goals. These steps are: “what do you want? Why do you want it? And how are you going to achieve it? Applied in the right way these three steps can transform your life from one of drift to one of purpose.
This course has been created to break down this system so you can create your own goals and put in place strategies and actions so that every day you are moving closer and closer to achieving the goals you set for yourself.
With over ninety minutes of lectures this course has everything you need to create goals that are achievable and can take you towards achieving amazing results in your life. You will learn how to align your goals with the things that are important to you (your values) and find out why having a “why” with each goal can really motivate you to keep going when things get tough (and they will)
Good luck and remember, I will always be on hand to help you to achieve the things that are really important to you.
These are the main reason why people fail to set and therefore achieve any kind of goal.
What is it that is important to you? What do you want to achieve. You need to know this before you can start creating your goals.
Setting goals is your navigation for life. Without a set goal, you are drifting around not knowing where you are going. With goals you have a purpose and a direction. You really need to understand this before we can begin creating your goals.
The 3 areas to create your goals around:
Your values are the things that are important to you. They are unique to you and no one person will have the exact same values. Knowing your own individual values will enable you to create goals that mean something to you.
This lecture focuses on "what" you want. The first step to establishing your goals.
The "Why" - why do you want it? Why do you want to achieve this goal?
The final step to establishing your goals. The How. How are you going to achieve them.
Now we've gone through the three parts to creating achievable goals, here's the summary fitting it all together.
The secret sauce is where turning your "hows" in to daily tasks becomes much easier.
Monitoring your progress is an important part of making your goals achievable. This lecture will show you how best to do this.
Making sure you are progressing every day is important and that is why you need to make sure there is at least one task every day on your task list manager.
Having a tool that you can use to track your progress is important. And this is where Todoist comes in. Todoist is a free application (with a paid subscription upgrade if you want the pro version) that you can use that will track you goals for you.
This lecture will show you how to set it up.
Common reason number 1 - Trying to achieve too much.
Common reason number 2 - Trying to achieve the impossible
Common reason number 3 - Not monitoring progress
