Section 1: What ways do we communicate
11:08

Why don't we understand each other, what does it mean the map is not the territory,

What is the difference between right and left hemisphere of brain thinking and what kind of processes go through there. What is perception and interpretations

Exploring what is the real definition of communication

10:54

What is Communication

Communication customary as we grew up is a learnt one-way process. We learnt to give instructions, learnt to give feed back, learnt to tell others what we think and with that we are done. However communication is a two way process. Successful communication is when the listener heard what we wanted to say, they saw our point of view and got what we said, moreover what we said made sense and motivated them for the right action.

Communication is only 7% words, most of the communication is delivered via our tone of voice that is 38% and mostly our body language, our physiology delivers the message that is 55% of the information.

Silence is also a very important part of the communication and its strategically used to build rapport to give space to the other person to express themselves.

Silence most times can help the person who said something inappropriate to realize what they said.

10:33

The meaning of your communication is the response you get. If you pay attention to your listener, to your client, every little response will tell you if they understand, agree, or disagree, or got upset about what you said.

Your communication is reached success in sales when, without trying to sell, the client says it that I want this, and I want even more.  Your communication has to help the client to see your point and hear you, get fully the benefits and then it makes sense that the product what you have is essential for their life.

It is your responsibility to keep rephrasing what you said until the listener, your client gets your point and see your point of you, and your voice is heard, moreover makes sense to them what you said.

There are 3 sensory based communications styles, as per the how the brain gets and stores information. 1. Visual, 2. Auditory, 3. Kinesthetic.  60% of the people are visual , 20-20% are auditory and kinesthetic.

Visual is all about images, seeing and showing, auditory is all about hearing, being crystal clear and heard.

Our brain is a mix of these and we have primary dominating sense over others, as these 3 senses follow and order. You may be primary Kinesthetic, followed by visual and auditory.

This video talks about the Kinesthetic and auditory digital communication style.

Finding out your style of communication, please find the excell sheet here with the quiz which you need to fill out. 04:38

When you talk on the phone , you have two powerful tools, your tone of voice and your words to make connections. Asking specific question form the person can help you find out their communication style.

One important trick to create bond on the phone with the customers or the listener.
