CFP® EPP Cht: Chief designer and trainer at Naked Mindz

Gail Gibson is a specialised trainer normally found lurking behind a keyboard in Germiston, located in South Africa.

Gail is a highly experienced Compliance Manager, who despite her best attempts to avoid it, became head of the Regulatory Training program in an International Financial Services Company, before she decided to start her own training company: “Naked Mindz” after seeing too many episodes of “The New Avengers.”

Her qualifications include Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and other international qualifications in investment, technology, health and education. Most of what she studied in order to avoid housework.

As a Seta accredited qualified assessor, moderator, designer and developer, she long ago met the minimum required experience criteria and is now considered a subject matter expert (old) in financial services. Her experience and understanding of regulatory needs, allows her to efficiently and effectively link between business, sales, laws, regulations, statutory and supervisory requirements. She is one of the very few trainers who uses meta-programs in her training and her training rooms are characterized by laughter and learning.

Gail was appointed a consultant to create the Southern Africa Compliance Practitioner qualification and for the Financial Planning Institute’s” Fit and Proper” Standards. She set Board Exams in multiple Financial Services areas as well as regulatory Board Exams for the Financial Services Board.

She is currently the Vice-Chair of the Health Competency Committee at the Financial Planning Institute. She has won numerous awards (without resorting to bribery and corruption) and was the first woman panelist ever chosen for the Zurich Club, due to her investment knowledge. Other awards include management and training. She is a published author in a number of periodicals and magazines, some of which she reads! Her courses are found on platforms such as Udemy, LFE and GO1.

A deep passion for people in trauma resulted in her becoming an internationally registered certified hypnotherapist after which she studied ethnic psychology, healing and African traditional plants (not just the smoking types). She has completed sufficient studies to be one of the few pale skins included on the register for approval as an African Traditional Healer. She is also involved in local projects to protect the Intellectual property of African plants. She is an accredited ethno-psychologist and entitled to use the designation of D-Emed. Her listings can be found on the diagnostic register at EPASA
