Laura Dankof, MSN, ARNP is a nurse practitioner, speaker, author and founder of Path to Health and Healing, LLC and co-founder of Menopause Sisters. Laura’s mission is to provide health information to empower others to take charge of their health and transform their life. Health and healing is about addressing the whole person. This includes healing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Laura has over 20 years of experience working in health care. She obtained her Bachelor Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. She later received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana. In both cases she graduated with honors.
As a nurse practitioner Laura has taken a special interest and has received additional training in natural and functional medicine. She has been a guest speaker at conferences and has spoken on topics related to complimentary and alternative medicine.
As a child Laura was very shy and realized how not expressing your authentic self can have a profound impact on your health and happiness. She knew if she could find the courage to express her own authentic self, she could help others do the same. Through her gentle and simple approach she will help you find the courage to no longer be a victim of societal expectations or self victimization. You need to be your own advocate. She wants to empower you to believe in yourself. Look at yourself and change your choices, actions, responses, and perceptions as to how you are going to participate in life.
Why does she care about this? Because these are the very things she has worked on in her own self and continues to work on. If you don’t first love and accept yourself, your ability to heal and share your authentic self with the world will be difficult. In her work she has seen that when people take the time to nurture the body and soul through self reflection, good nutrition, exercise and adequate sleep their personal transformation can be amazing. She has also seen how stress and emotional blocks can hold you back from your own health and happiness. Fear will leave you feeling stuck and literally means “frozen ego awaiting release”. It is time to step out of your ego and allow your spiritual essence to shine through.
It is her hope that she can plant this seed of awareness in you as you discover your own path to health and healing. One message she hopes to communicate through her products and services is that you have the power to change your life, your health, and your families’ health. Through this greater awareness you will learn how stress, sleep, exercise, the environment, and diet affect health. Most importantly though is she wants you to have hope and a belief in how you have the power to change you.
