Instructor Biography

Sonja Crocker, Educator and Homeschooling Expert

For the last five years, I have homeschooled my 17 year old daughter and my 15 year old son. During that time, I taught English and French at a local Co-op and led a local scout group. I worked as a substitute teacher with the Springtown Public School system for two years. I then taught Pre-Kindergarten with The Learning Center for a year. I attended the University of Texas with a major in English. I have Youth Protection Certification from the Boy Scouts of America and I have volunteered as a Regional Youth Director with the Society for Creative Anachronism for the last three years. While serving as a Youth Director, I managed and trained 15 local youth coordinators. I also created the training program and wrote the Minister of Children handbook.
