Welcome to Home Repair Made Easy. This the signature course I deliver in LIVE classes in the Philadelphia area. My classes have helped hundreds of women become empowered homeowners. I target women with my classes but men are always welcome to join the HIP Chicks Flock. There is no genetic imprint for using power tools, so we all have to develop our DIY knowledge, skills and guts! This course is fun, engaging and informative!

Section 2: Jammin' the Disposer

The Garbage Disposer is a big ticket repair item. It can be an easy DIY repair with a little know how. In this session, you will learn how to unjam the disposer, restore power to it and learn what you can and can NOT put into it, including your fingers!

Please download the disposer tip sheet as a quick reference for troubleshooting. Print it out and tape it inside your sink base cabinet for handy reference. Keep it right along side your disposer wrench! Watch the video to see that tool!

Section 3: Clogs - The DIY Basics

Clog, Schmog.  Clogs belong on your feet, not in your drains, but every homeowner encounters them at some point. No worries. You can manage these annoying plumbing issues without calling a pro if you try some of these easy tricks. 

In this section, you will learn how to use inexpensive tools for clog busting in sinks, tubs, showers and toilets! Learn about products you may not have known were available to you. Plus, I share my favorite low cost, earth-friendly clog buster! It is a must do DIY job!

Section 4: Stupid Sink Stopper Stuck Again?

That silly sink stopper will no longer confuse you after this session. You will be able to get yours moving up and down again in no time! NO pro is needed for this job but you may need a buddy to help with the reach!

Section 5: Easy Carpet Care

Kids, Pets and House Guests? The top 3 causes of soiled carpet. 

We all love those people and pets despite the messes the they leave behind. But don't panic. I have some great techniques to remove all sorts of stains from your carpet. First tip starts with NEVER using shampoo your rugs. Yep, do not use shampoo. Watch and learn why! Plus, discover an affordable and non-toxic treatment for pets with bladder control issues.

Do you have ring around the potty? You know that nasty dirty ring of discoloration in the toilet bowl. You scrub and scrub and disinfect but it still looks skanky. Just wait until you see this tip that will help you get rid of the ring so your toilet looks fresh again. Do not get a new one because of ring around the potty; we will find the perfect tool to get rid of it in the beauty aisle!
