Holy Yoga by Graceful Yoga and Fitness
Holy Yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to bring people closer to Jesus through meditation on scripture, worship music, and yoga poses. Loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and all our strength (Mark 12:30).
Our mission is to help people live healthier joyful lives by combining fitness and Jesus. Holy Yoga seeks to bring people to a closer relationship with Christ through yoga, meditation on scripture, and worship.
In today's society we are constantly on the go. We need to find the time to “Be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10) Holy Yoga's intention is to give people the time to slow down and really meditate on God while developing a personal relationship with Him. Classes begin with focus on our God-given breath. (Genesis 1:30; 2:7) The instructor then sets the intention of the class with Scripture reading, and leads the class through yoga postures. The class ends in a final resting pose with prayer and meditation.
Physical Benefits of Holy Yoga: 1 Tim 4:8 “ For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”
Grace is an outgoing mother of two, who loves fitness and being around people. She chose Holy Yoga because it is a great way to share her faith and grow spiritually and physically. Now she wants to help others heal and grow, while respecting the individuality of each person as God made them to be.Yoga has been an extreme help in dealing with healing from past injuries, and loosening up tight places, bringing relief from back and sciatic pain to name a couple examples.
