I'm a self-taught artist living in the Los Angeles area with my family. Born in the Coachella Valley, I still maintain a home there where some of my other artwork is cultivated. I'm obsessed with discarded palm fronds and dried acrylic paint! I love working with unexpected materials.
I love abstracts, movement of color, clean lines and bold images. At heart I am a tinkerer and experimenter who loves to be challenged when it comes to being creative. I've usually got several projects going at any one time as I find it hard to contain my impulsivity and impatience. I find inspiration everywhere and am particularly drawn to bold patterns, metallics, graphics, texture and dimensional artwork.
I've had a couple of art shows in the past hi-lighting my paintings and palm frond sculptures at local galleries and have had some of my mosaic work published in a book called "Mosaic Madness" in 2011. I've also sold my artwork via referrals and online via Etsy and Yessy. I have an Easy store called Coachella Palm Art, and when I have some to sell, I sell it there. More of my past art experiences include teaching mosaic workshops locally where students used my dried paint tiles to create their own artwork and conducting home parties to do the same. Years back I worked in corporate sales & management along with conducting sales and operational trainings. Hobbies include travel, cooking, movies, friends and family time.
In 2009 while trying to create my very first mosaic using dried paint, I created a system for myself that ensured consistent results every time. This allowed me to create larger scale mosaics since I could produce large quantities of the same looking "tile". Over the years I've continued to streamline and improve my system. Now it's ready to share with others!
