Hello and welcome to the Happy Kids Cooking Healthy course. Not just for vegetarians, this course is based off the book by Angela Poch, N.C., "My Health, My Body" A Health & Nutrition Course for children 7 to 12 with an emphasis on vegetarian, available here: www.HigherPath.ca (The book was designed for home schooling children and teachers so it has printable assignments and answer key.)
You will learn how to cook delicious, easy dishes along with how your body functions and how to stay healthy. So watch the first lecture video - Introduction and download the attached supplementary material 'Children's Health Course intro'.
The first real lesson in this course gets you started off with a delicious pizza. With two recipes on this video both younger children and older ones will learn how they can make their own healthy hot lunch! After you watch this cooking video lecture go on to Lecture 3 and learn more about your body functions!

In this video cooking lesson learn to make a delicious, high protein, high fiber vegetarian burger. This lesson has two great recipes - Golden Nuggets which can be used in many different ways and Pot Pie. Golden Nuggets can be stored in the freeze in baggies and used for: stir fries, coat in BBQ and reheat in oven with fries, chopped into soup for "chicken" noodle soup, and much more.

With over 35 years cooking experience, Angela Poch has researched healthful living for her family and friends, leading her to become first a vegetarian, strict vegetarian, then vegan (for approx 10 years), and is now a 'flexitarian" (2010 to current) where she liens heavily toward vegan but understands there are diet and other needs that can require animal products. A flexitarian is also a proud supporter of any farm or ranch that does it’s best to raise humane and healthy animals.
