In this course students will learn how to prepare hair for styling, and how to execute six hair-up styles.
The course is suitable for novices and professionals alike, whether you have been styling hair for years, or you just want the perfect up-do for a special occasion.

To complete this course you will need a hairdryer, a barrel brush, a paddle brush, hair ties, hair pins, clips, a tail comb, small rubber bands and hair-styling products including volume spray, hairspray and shine spray to finish. We recommend Redken products, available at Charlotte Murray Salon.

Charlotte started hairdressing at the tender age of 13. Finding her passion at a young age she completed her apprenticeship at Vidal Sassoon, London and went on to specialise in Men’s barbering. After travelling around the world working teaching hairdressing she began her freelance session career. For the next 14 years Charlotte worked with many celebrities, actors and models designing hair for the catwalk, theatre, music videos, commercials and editorial shoots
She was Robbie Williams’ hairdresser exclusively for 5 years and worked with many other artists including Jessica Simpson, Billie Piper, Ruby Wax, Ewan McGregor and many more. Charlotte worked on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and designed hair for numerous commercials including Impulse, Lynx, Radox, Orange, Babyliss, Braun, Samsung, Pepsi, Renault, GHD, Karl Lagerfeld to name but a few. She has worked at London Fashion week producing hair looks for John Rocha, Moshiko Koshino, Frost French, Temperly, Taka Nata, Eley Koshimoto, Noel Stewart, Jean-Pierre Braganza and Erdem.
Charlotte worked with world renowned photographer Mario Testino for the front cover of English Vogue, subsequently exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery. She has presented live, several times, on television notably appearing with Dermot O’Leary on Channel 4s “Big Brother’s Little Brother”.
To add to her achievements she had had work published in Vogue, Harpers and Queen, Tatler, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Sunday Times Style and YOU. She teaches hair skills in live presentations and Academies and specialises in the art of dressing hair. Charlotte is writing a book on the techniques of this skill to share with future stylists.
