On Sept 18, 2014, in New York City, A Momentous Event Took Place.
A company – The Alibaba Group, went public and raised almost one quarter of a trillion dollars in one day through a stock offer.
It’s founder, Jack Ma, instantly became one of the richest men in the world.
When he was told, years ago, that he was not capable of managing a Kentucky Fried Chicken fast food restaurant, it did not faze him!
His companies will become the first to reach a trillion dollars in online sales.
For years people put down one of his businesses – the Alibaba web site
YouTubers claimed the site could not be trusted, it was a rip off, products were cheap and unreliable, your money would get stolen – the list goes on.
Some eBayers and Amazon sellers paid attention to this chatter, they never ventured forward. However, those that knew how to safely use the web site, made millions.
Now that the dust has settled from Alibaba’s IPO (Initial Public Offering) we can clearly gaze upon one of the world’s largest publicly traded companies.
The IPO was a record for the U.S. Stock Market - $25 billion.
On the first day of trading Jack Ma, Alibaba’s founder, became one of the worlds wealthiest individuals – Not bad for a former school teacher and someone who was told he was not qualified to manage a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.
By day’s end (IPO – Thursday Sept. 18, 2014) well over $200 billion in public stock was sold.
To get a perspective on the size of this company and its future potential, here are some interesting facts to consider:
Alibaba has more employees than Facebook and Yahoo combined – over 20,000.
In 2013 it generated over $240 billion in sales from just two of it’s web sites – more than twice the sales Amazon generates and three times eBay’s.
It experienced three times the sales of our Black Friday, almost $6 billion, on the Chinese version of Black Friday.

Chatter abounded for years on the internet how this Chinese source (Alibaba) and others like it, could not be trusted: stories of resellers getting stuck with cheap and inferior products, not receiving products, not getting what they ordered, not being able to return bad products and the list goes on, were everywhere.
Are these stories true?
While the chatter continues to this day, many of the Power Sellers on eBay, Amazon and Etsy are sourcing from Alibaba and similar sites and making millions. Do they know something that others don't know? Yes they do, and I'm going to teach you what that is!
In this course I will show you how to:
Did you know that most of the Power Sellers on eBay and Amazon source many and sometimes all of their products from Alibaba. When you walk into any big box store and look at the product labels, what do you see?
Made in China
If most products are made there, why aren't you sourcing directly from China?
