The course should take between 4 to 6 weeks in total although some students may be faster and others slower. Each lesson lasts for a maximum of 5 minutes and you'll be progressing in no time. I am always keen to make sure my students are happy and excited at the end of each lesson and I hope that you find this course really enjoyable
We look at 3 major types of guitar, what they look like, what they sound like and their characteristics
I will teach you how to hold and position the guitar, your hands and fingers correctly.
We learn how to strum the strings with your right hand and understand how to read and place your fingers on the fretboard

You will combine the 3 chords you have learnt with a simple to follow, band based backing track.
The backing track here increases with difficulty. You will have to try to change between your 3 chords even faster with a more difficult backing track
The final challenge - a difficult backing track where you need to really work on bringing all the skills you have learnt throughout the course together - best of luck!
I've been playing the guitar for over 20 years and I have been a teacher for 12years.
I have played in a wide variety of orchestras, bands, duos, trio and ensembles. I am classically trained and achieved my grade 8 in guitar when I was 17. I have studied flamenco guitar in spain and have played the electric guitar in a number of function bands. I have a huge passion for teaching and I love seeing people learn, improve and develop their skill sets. I really enjoy hearing student feedback so please get in touch should you take any of my courses - I would love to hear from you!
