The course shows how selecting zero-ODP and low-GWP alternatives is the way forward to achieve environmental benefits in an integrated manner. A significant amount of new building stock being added in the developing countries have a huge potential to use such low-GWP refrigerants and natural alternatives. This course brings out the fact that energy efficient buildings and equipment are key to reduce the demand for refrigerants, consequently reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
