Some years ago, I was just like you…I had many questions and no answers.
It was 4:35 a.m. on a Saturday back in April of 2001. My friend and I were standing inside a hospital…I felt paralyzed and numb. My heart sank deep into my chest when the doctor told me there was nothing they could do. My brother, my partner in crime, my BEST friend lying on a hospital stretcher with no brain activity was gone…It was to late, there was nothing anyone could do.
I was devastated!
I now had to make that dreadful call that I thought I would have never had to make in a million years to my parents. I felt like I was in a nightmare wanting to wake up but it was real.
How did I get here.
You see a few months back everything was going well. I had a great career,I was engaged and ready to get into the best shape of my life before my wedding.
Then one early Saturday morning I get a phone call from one of my brothers friends. He told me that my brother had past out in his tent at the livestock concert they were attending.
He was trying to carry him through the crowd screaming for help to try and find some medical attention. As my brothers friends reached the paramedics they took my brother away in the ambulance.
I quickly jumped out of bed and rushed out the door with my roommate. I really didn’t think it was anything serious, I thought maybe he had to much to drink and past out. I remember even stopping at local gas station on the way to get something to drink. I just didn’t think it was that serious.
When we arrived at the hospital the doctor came out and said something to me that I will never forget.
Four months after his death, my fiance of 5 years walked out on me.I was crushed, confused, depressed and left alone. My life would never be the same again. I knew I needed a change, to reinvent myself, to start over.
Now...you maybe wondering to yourself what does this tragic and personal story have to do with building strength and size in half the time, right? Well...
After the tragic death of my brother and the break-up with my fiance, I rediscovered my faith in God while at the same time a co-worker at my job introduced me to the gym.
I fell in love with the gym and was making steady GAINS for 2 years. Some time had past and I got real busy in life...then it happened.
Guess what the first thing was to go?
You guessed it, the gym.
I was skinny all throughout high school, but as I got older and started eating the wrong foods along with a busy lifestyle, I quit and gave it all up.
I had achieved some results in building a better body, but due to time restraints, job, friends and family, my gains slowly started to slip away from my fingers.
After 3 years, I started getting the itch to go back to the gym. I felt horrible about the fact that I had let myself go and got so out of shape after all the hard work I had put in 3 years prior.
I decided that I was going to start working out again, but I wanted to do even better than what I achieved a few years ago. I lost touch with my co-worker who I used to workout with so I deiced to go out on my own and get back on track to building the STRONGEST and BIGGEST body ever.
On one particular day I had a BIG “Ah-ah” moment.
I saw all the muscle building magazines at my local grocery store and picked one of them up to read. I started reading and buying them every month trying to find some shortcut to building muscle fast.
I also started buying all the supplements advertised in those magazines that I could get my hands on.
I started buying and reading muscle building magazines. I tried this supplement and that fad diet, but nothing worked. Then I tried this 1 method in a muscle building magazine and I got o.k. results, but nothing to brag about.
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on magazines, supplements and fad diets but, nothing really seemed to work. I still could not get past where I used to be a few years ago until one day I stumbled upon 1 metabolic trick.
After months and months of researching I stumbled upon a pretty cool metabolic intensifier trick that helped me finally burn stubborn belly fat. The reality...it put my body in a whole new league!
I even won a transformation contest and took pics inside one of the most well known gyms in my home town, Power House Gym.

When I figured out it wasn’t true, I was finally able to break free and get the results I wanted.
I didn’t realize when I started that not only does it save time, build strength and burn fat, but it also helped me attract the women of my dreams, win the respect of others, saved me time and money on bogus supplements, attracting new opportunities, and after reaching a mid life crisis, was able to quit my job and do what I love, helping You!
Jack's Transformation story
I think one of the best ways to kick this off is getting to know me a little bit. I grew up in the south on a pretty typical starchy and carbohydrate dense southern diet, and as a result of that, I quickly became almost 50 pounds overweight when I was younger. I was bullied severely, kids picked on me all of the time, and I was absolutely miserable with how I looked and felt.
This is what my typical day of eating would look like:
A sandwich, a hot pocket, or a pastry for breakfast with a full calories sports drink. Lunch would be something like bread and butter with steak and gravy, pizza with fried okra, chicken tenders with white rice, no vegetables on my plate, and chocolate milk at every meal.
Dinner would be another round of starches. Enchiladas, lasagna, spaghetti, manicotti, pizza 1-2 nights per week, soda, meat loaf, more bread and butter, pasta, with a dessert of ice cream and brownies. Sometimes I would eat a huge bowl of sugary cereal before bed.
Then I would do it the next day. It's no mystery why I got so huge when I was younger. Plus, I didn't come from a gene pool of skinny people. So I had a lot going against me.
I was miserable with myself, but food was my comfort. I would rather indulge in sugar, deep fried foods, and pizza than make the intimidating changes to eat right and go out for sports.

Why I started Losing Weight
On Christmas one year, I went into the hospital with bacterial pneumonia and had to stay hospitalized for 5 days. I could hardly eat because I was in so much pain. After I had gotten out of the hospital I could tell that I lost weight. I was pleasantly surprised to get on the scale and I had lost 7 pounds!
That's when I thought, Now is as good a time as any to start losing weight.
Calories and portion cutting
Starting to play basketball and getting active with my friends for hours every week, and that helped the weight fall off and stay off of me.
I was so thankful to be able to run, jump, play, have fun, and not get winded walking up a flight of stairs. I wasn't the fat guy anymore!
My Skinny fat Days
Throughout high school and all of the way through college, I was tracking my calories and workouts every day. I started doing a little bit of weight training, but I absolutely fell in love with running, so that became the crux of my exercise program.
I like to call these "my skinny fat days" because I was athletic and much leaner than I used to be, but I still had a skewed concept of what healthy eating was.
I was exercising 6-7 days per week which included hours running (outside or on the treadmill) and usually 3-4 days per week of weightlifting. I still drank soda from time to time, had the occasional glass of milk with dinner, still loved pizza, and ate biscuits and sausage for breakfast most mornings. Oh yeah, and I would normally eat 1-2 bowls of cereal per day.
I was definitely more in shape than I had ever been, but I definitely wasn't doing my body any favors with my diet. Every time I would eat something bad for me, It was like i could almost immediately see the difference on my body. I was 6'1'' and 160 pounds, but I would come in and out of having some love handles.
What was I doing wrong?
Why didn't I have better muscle definition and a six pack at that point?
Hitting my stride
Since then I have done YEARS of personal research on different diets and training programs to see what works best for my body and my clients too.
I've had a lot of fun and discovered so much in getting as lean as possible to get my abs to show, and in the other direction I have had a blast building muscle mass. In fact, in my most recent test to lose body fat, I got down to about 8%, which is ideal for getting your abs to show! On the other end, I have recently gained about 30 pounds of muscle mass, and I feel great.
At the end of the dayI know that I don't have the genetics to be able to eat pizza, pasta, burgers, cake, ice cream, and brownies and have a perfect six pack like super trainers and fitness models do. I have had to work my butt off for the progress that I've made.
I have friends like that, and most of them don't even workout that much! I used to get so frustrated looking at other people who didn't work as hard as I did and didn't eat right. "I thought, this isn't fair! Why can't I have that?" But now I have realized that I am doing the absolute best with the genes I've got, and I am so grateful for my health and this journey that I've been on.

One of the biggest misconceptions about losing body fat and building lean muscle is that you do not need to spend 5-10+ hours in the gym to reach your goals. And you don't have to just eat bland, grilled or boiled chicken breasts to get there.
In fact, all you really need is about an hour per week of moderate to intense physical activity. Other than that, 80% of your results are going to be dictated by your diet- the foods that you are eating and the times that you are eating them.
Research has shown that brief, intense workouts are much more effective for burning fat and building muscle than the typical long duration weight lifting sessions.
When you put such a high metabolic demand on your body over such a brief period of time, your body requires a lot more in terms of recovery and proper nutrition. That also means that you are going to be able to make greater strides toward your goals, in a fraction of the time.
Less is MORE. You don't need to workout an hour a day to see results. In fact, the longer your workouts, the worse your results will be. In this lecture I'll show you some scientific studies to back up these claims and MORE!
Cardio is great for you in terms of strengthening your heart and lungs, but you need to have the precise balance of cardiovascular training and strength training to make sure that you can lose belly fat and build sculpted, functional, fat-incinerating muscle.
