Secondly, stay away from anything romantic. Thirdly, enlist the help of a go-between if you have children, and to get some professional counselling for yourself (and them, if needs be).

Remove Attraction

This technique is designed to eliminate any lingering attraction or attachment to the person you're trying to get over. It takes a bit of practice, and it takes time to do, but it's very powerful. I recommend finding a quiet place to practice it, and doing it as much as you can.

If you're still attracted to your ex or this person you're trying to get over, this exercise will turn that on its head and have you seeing them in a whole new light. You can add speech bubbles with annoying things they used to say, for added effect.

Getting some much-needed distance and perspective can really help you move on and let go of your ex and your old relationship.
