Do you have a lot of creative projects on the go, but you never actually get to any of them? Have you been procrastinating on your projects by looking for quick fixes on the side? Are you trying to make yourself feel better by chasing the instant gratification of sex, rather than doing the work? Are you trying to move from being 'Sex Obsessed' to a 'Creative Genius'?
This course is definitely for you, if you answered yes to any of the questions above.
I have been running live versions of this workshop for months and I realized that there is a real need for it. So many people email me weekly asking whether this workshop would be available online. I decided enough is enough. I stopped procrastinating and created this course for your viewing and working pleasure.
In this course, we will explore the connection between creativity and sexuality and how we can use one to drive the other. I have included techniques that you can use in the comfort of your homes to move your creative projects forward using the power of your sexuality.
I hope you will be enticed to take this course and use all of its benefits.
Testimonial from Wayne Duckworth: I attended Shikha’s workshop Creativity and Sexuality with both excitement and trepidation at what was to come but within minutes felt reassured and comfortable as she set out a framework for the 3 hour deep dive into unexplored territory. After explaining the content she set firm boundaries that felt both nurturing and precise but with plenty of space for free exploration and just the right amount of challenge. Her approach is dynamic and heart centred to the creative and energy work, which is both individual, and partnered with plenty of time for sharing back with the whole group. She was able to hold the space for the group as we began to explore ourselves stimulated by the well chosen exercises inviting us to open up and share our stories, vulnerabilities and hope for a deeper connection to our creative selves. I definitely learned about my own desire to hide in my sexuality and with the tools and wisdom she provides feel I can transmute my sometimes distracting sexual focus into a more creatively productive channel. Awesome!
Testimonial from Chloe Donnelly: I have attended several of Shikha's workshops now, I was hooked after the first session! I am in love with how fluid and synergetic the sessions are. They bring up powerful emotions within a setting of ultimate confidence and respect among new friends. She is certainly not a pushover, can read you well and does all within her power to help you grow. The sessions on sexuality were particularly empowering for me, as I am constantly re-evaluating my sexuality and it seems fairly ambiguous, but I realised after talking with others that I have a great knowledge within sexuality because of this lack of stillness. These sessions are honestly not to be missed, rarely have I found anything so worthwhile and thought provoking!
Testimonial from Zita Moran: Before I encountered Shikha’s course I had never made the connection between my creativity and sexuality. Truth be told, I was actually rather repressed in this area. But there’s something about Shikha that makes you feel safe to open up and experiment. The result was spectacular—it's been revelation after revelation for me. Now I have powerful tools to use whenever I feel my inspiration is drying up. Thank you Shikha for introducing me to a new creative paradigm! You are a godsend—I'll never look back
In this lecture, we discuss why I chose the combination of sexuality and creativity as a focus for this course. How are they related and why does it matter?
Creativity and Sexuality are such similar forms of energies. They are actually two sides of the same coin. They are both about bringing forth something new into the world.
When someone tells me that they are not creative, I want to smile. Everyone, and I mean, everyone, is creative. They are just creative in their own ways. If they believe they are not creative, it is because they are not courageous enough to be creative.
We believe that everything creative we do has to be perfect, otherwise we are going to be laughed at, ridiculed, and ostracized from society. As social creatures, that is the worst possible thing that could happen to us. So we procrastinate through perfectionism. We decide if it isn't perfect, it isn't worth doing. In this lecture, I blow through the myth of perfectionism.
Everyone of us has procrastination as a bad habit that we carry around with us. It is inevitably part of being human. In this lecture, we will discuss one of the creative projects that you are working on and why are you procrastinating on it. I'll also chat about a technique I use to get over procrastination, out of my head, and onto paper with my creative projects.
When I do live workshops on creativity and sexuality, most people end up skipping the workshop because they feel so much judgement and resistance at the end of discussing sexuality. More so, if they do end up attending, they throw a lot of judgement at myself and their own sexual pasts. That's what sexuality discussions does. It's a good thing. It's better to talk about all of this stuff and get it out there, rather than keep it inside.
This quiz will test you to see how much of Section 1 you retained. The questions are basic, but they will see how much your attention wandered from the videos while you were watching.
In this lecture, I'll discuss what exactly is transmuting. I'll be speaking a lot about transmuting your energy from sexuality to creativity and I wanted to clarify exactly what that entails.
In this lecture, I give you a brief introduction to chakras, just enough so we can use it in the next lecture for a technique I'll teach you. If you want further information on chakras, please check out the book by Judith Anodea called, 'Eastern Body Western Mind.'
In this lecture, I introduce the first technique that I use in order to transmute my energy from the sexual chakra to the heart chakra and creativity. We are flexing the Pubococcygeus (PC) muscle in this technique.
This lecture is all about learning how to ground ourselves using our physical bodies as a source of this grounding. Practice the technique I speak about in this lecture at least once a week.
Just because I advocate moving our energies from sexuality to creativity, doesn't mean that I am against sex. But periods of celibacy are great for doing a lot of creative work. I'll speak more to this concept in this lecture.
We are now going to test ourselves, to see how much information stuck in our heads, and how much has gone in one ear, and out the other.
The final lecture. Let's end off with three take-aways you can really use in your daily life to move 'From Sex-Obsessed To Creative Genius'. Please let me know if you have any feedback about this course at all.
Boom Shikha is a serial entrepreneur, wanderluster, online-business owner, yogi, author, and avid meditator.
She is the owner of the epic brand 'The Millionaire Hippie' and she runs a podcast with the same name.
She has an MBA and a B.Sc. in Kinesiology. She has read hundreds of books and is a self-taught teacher. She wants to share all of the knowledge that she has gained in her decades of learning and growing, and that's why she creates these Udemy courses, to spread the joy of learning.
A lot of her topics are obscure and are topics that she has spent time thinking and researching on. She loves learning more about how the human mind works, specifically her own. Why do I do things the way I do them? Why do I end up liking things the way I do? Why am I creative in some moments and not in others? Why does it sometimes take me forever to start my creative projects?
There are so many questions that she had that she answered by learning more about her own psychology.
Meditation, and Journaling are two techniques she uses on a daily basis in order to grow her mind and get to her optimal self.
She is also a published author, with 5 books and counting published on Amazon. Links are all available on her website.
