Ideally you need a plumbed in regular water supply of a minimum 2 Bar and use a pressure regulating valve to control water pressure to a maximum of 4 Bar.

When ordering your machine, state the voltage of your electrical supply and whether it is either singel or 3 phase. It makes a difference to the wiring of your coffee maker. Wiring colors differ from country to country, ensure your electrician is aware that BLUE is NEUTRAL - a very costly exercise if your coffee machine is incorrectly connected!

A word of advice: rather get a coffee machine technician to install your machine.

Don't forget to order the correct installation kit which comes an additional extra item when purchasing your coffee machine.

Section 3: Making Coffee
09:00
Making really great tasting coffee requires 4 essential ingredients, which are ...

* clean soft / sweet water - not brackish
* fresh roasted beans
* a good coffee grinder for FRESHLY ground coffee; and
* cold milk for frothing.

Preferably, never buy coffee that is already ground because it goes stale very quickly. Rather buy fresh roasted, vacuum sealed beans.

Don't store the beans in a refrigerator. Just store them in sealed packets or containers in a cool area.

Keep the milk refrigerated, preferably located close to your coffee machine.

The way you serve your coffee is important. It must be professional, courteous, fast and well presented, according to the serving style required for each specific drink, a spoon packaged sugar, milk, chocolate, galss of water and / or a biscuit.Don't use sugar cubes as they dissolve the crema more rapidly..

Always serve coffee using a warm cup, mug or glass before pouring.

Fresh, good tasting water is essential since it makes up 98 percent of a cup of coffee. The mineral content can affect the taste.

Perfect espresso needs no additions, as the balance of its flavors is already at its best. However, the addition of sugar or cream depends on individual taste and reduces acidity and bitterness.

The varieties of espresso coffees are numerous. Here's some of the types you can become familiar with when your coffee lovers are placing their orders.

Section 4: Troubleshooting Problems and Servicing Your Espresso Coffee Machine
09:13
As much as 80% of your troubleshooting problems can be avoided through proper barista training. First and foremost, your espresso coffee making equipment is a valuable asset, so don't let anyone near it until he or she is correctly trained.

Sometimes a coffee technician can't get to you immediately, so try taking matters into your own hands and check out these problems and how to fix them.

14:35
Your cleaning schedule should be performed without exception depending on the volume of coffee consumed.

Here's a rough service guideline to follow ...

*    300 cups (2 kgs) per month = every 6 months
*    600 cups (4 kgs) per month = every 4 months
* 2,300 cups (16kgs) per month = every 2 months

There's only one solution to remaining in control of your coffee machine's servicing, if a coffee technician is not available, or you have a tight budget, and that is to do it yourself. But it does entail a little more than sopa and water! See how here ...

Magnesium and calcium salts are present in water, creating the formation of limestone deposits in the coffee maker's boiler and in other parts of your coffee machine.

The water softening resin granules filter the salts from the water, becoming saturated. This resin needs to be regenerated with coarse kitchen salt regularly, depending on the hardness of your water and the volume of water which passed through the resin in the softener. The resin has a lifespan of 3 years before needing to be replaced.

Note: if your water has a high chlorine or chemical content, it's advisable to install a suitable filter after the pressure regulating valve and before the water softener.

Here's how you see how to regenerate your water softener with ease.
