What if I need to go away on vacation or business in the middle of the course?
No problem! Since the course is self-paced, and since you have lifetime access, you can pause the course if you need to. I encourage you to take all the time you need with each module!
But also consider any vacation or other interruption as an added opportunity to apply and refine what you are working on!
I'm struggling with an eating disorder. Can I take this course?
This course is NOT designed for people undergoing treatment for eating disorders or people who are in the early stages of recovery from an eating disorder. When your eating disorder is in remission, please ask your treatment team whether this course is appropriate for you.
I've never been diagnosed with an eating disorder, but I think I have some form of disordered eating. Can I take the course?
Disordered eating is a spectrum, and many people—including most American women—have disordered eating to some degree. This course IS helpful for people who have disordered eating behaviors such as yo-yo dieting, occasional bingeing, and vacillating between restriction and overeating, without significant medical complications or high-risk behaviors such as gastroparesis, purging, or medication abuse.
What if I have been prescribed a specific diet due to a medical condition?
This course promotes learning how to make food choices that are best for your health and your body, and should not interfere with any eating plan prescribed to address a specific medical condition. Ask your doctor if you have specific concerns.
Will this course help me lose weight?
The main goals of this course are to help you to learn to listen to your body and eat intuitively. This process may result in weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance, as you learn to honor your body and your body is able to adjust towards its preferred, natural size.
