In this lecture, we see how pinned tabs can save you time. The new pinned tabs feature keeps your most frequently used tabs ready to go in every Safari window you open, even after you’ve quit and relaunched Safari. You can use El Capitan’s new tab pinning feature to keep pages “open, up to date, and easily accessible."

The Notes App
8 Lectures 10:12
In this lecture, we see how the new notes app in El Capitan allows us to add formatted list options -- dashed, numbered and bulleted—as we as several format options for heading and title presets. Let's see how we do this to create more organized and helpful notes.
Rich Text Formatting

Now that we have seen what's possible with rich text formatting in the notes app, let's now see how we can use it.

Use Rich Text Formatting

Just like with email, El Capitan allows us to add attachements to notes. Now listed on the Share sheet of Safari, Maps, Photos and more of Apple's apps, it's now easier than ever to add richer detail to your notes.

In this lecture, we look at how we add an attachment to a note.

Adding Attachements

In this lecture, we look at the notes attachment browser. The notes attachment browser is a lot like viewing our iTunes library, it shows us all the attachments that we have ever added to notes organized by file type.

Attachement Browser

In El Capitan, organizing our notes becomes even easier with the addition of folders. In this lecture, we look at how to use folders to become even more organized in the notes app.

Just like in OS X where we have the trash, or in the Photos app where we have recently deleted photos, the new Notes app has its own trash folder. What's so great about this, is that if you delete a note by accident it's still there waiting for you for up to 30 days. In this lecture, we look at how to manage this.

Trash Folder

In this lecture, we look at how the notes app can accept and use different accounts – such as Gmail or iCloud. We look at some of the pros and cons of using these different accounts, and how to set up and manage them in El Capitan.
