We will start with the basics showing you how to correctly fill and tie balloons, how to knot them into pairs and then form 4 clusters. You will then be shown how these basic building blocks can be used to build into various types of display. The lessons are broken down into short videos which are easy to follow. To get the most from this course you will need to get some balloons and practise what is shown in the lessons. There are over two hours of videos to watch on this course.

What are the requirements?

  • This course is designed to be "hands on" so you'll need a bag of normal sized round latex balloons (size 10 -12 inches) and a bag of 5 inch sized round balloons and a balloon pump to get you started.
  • Other materials required will be explained as the course progresses. Where possible I will show you how to make up frames and sizers etc yourself using cheap household items.

Instructor Biography

Peter J. Smith, Clinical Hypnotherapist , Balloon expert and businessman

Peter trained with the College of Clinical & Medical Hypnosis to Advanced Practitioner level. He is a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register and currently runs Forest of Dean Hypnotherapy.

Peter Smith founded the balloon printing company Folkdean in 1980 and has been working in the balloon industry since then. In the 1990's Peter trained and obtained Basic and Intermediate certificates in Balloon Decorating techniques with NABAS the UK balloon association. Peter is well known in the UK balloon industry and has twice served as a committee member of NABAS. In the past Peter has organised training courses for balloon professionals just entering the UK balloon industry in association with NABAS.

Peter is also a partner in Sonnyboy's Music Store who are harmonica specialists.
