There are hundreds of thousands of churches in the United States. Many of these churches do good work, but get lost behind the bad design that makes up their websites. This course aims to help fix that problem by showing local church members, leadership and volunteers how to create a website that works beautifully on desktops, laptops, tablets and phones. This course takes the mystery out of creating a beautiful church website.
No matter your skill level, you'll be able to follow these step by step instructions on your own and skip the expense of hiring a web designer. I'll even show you how to keep your site up-to-date and run backups. This course is all about enabling those who have been held back to enter the modern web space in an affordable and easily accessible way.
WordPress is an open-source (free) software option for website development that is user friendly, constantly updated and used by nearly a third of the websites on Internet.
FlyWheel is the hosting company I use in my course. It is easily the most user-friendly service I've found out there. FlyWheel takes care of so many things that other hosts make you do yourself: daily backups, Wordpress core updates, easy traffic and bandwidth tracking, etc.
