Inking the block!So, you might notice that I slide 2 objects up around my block as I ink it. that's a trick I picked up from some kids at Guilford College back when I was in school. It's called "rails." Basically you put two scrap pieces of whatever your matrix is at the height of your image (in this case, 2 scrap pieces of uncut linoleum), so your brayer can roll evenly across the surface of your image, without getting ink on the carved-away areas, or putting ink too heavily on one side or the other.This trick is indispensable for viscosity printing.
