Course Description

Windows 7 has set a new standard for the Windows operating system. They took the best from past operating systems and improved the functionality and memory usage.

I think for most people the "blue screen of death" is a thing of the past, or at least very rare. This alone was the factor that pushed me from Windows Vista to Windows 7, and I have no regrets.

Chances are that if you are running a powerful newer computer you are having a great user experience. And even if you are running an older computer you are likely seeing a huge improvement in stability and speed.

However, there is a lot you can do to speed up your system, whether it is an old one like mine or a newer system. Doing these few simple steps can have a significant impact because no operating system is perfect. You can help it along and I will show you how.

As time goes on there tends to be some natural system degradation just from using the computer. If you do not do any regular maintenance the computer will become slower and slower over time. This will eventually cause the most powerful of computers to bog down - so it is very important that these tasks get run on a regular basis.

Windows 7 has implemented several new system tools to help you out. I will show you how to use those. I will also show you which external free tools you should use to complete some of these tasks very easily.

This video series will guide you step by step through all of these procedures!

      Good Teaching But Very Basic

This was not enough for me. The video quality is very poor so it's hard to read what is being clicked on. Good tempo by the instructor but it's just not quite enough. I guess you get what you pay for in life. So my suggestion, would be to check out www.udemy.com/speed-up-your-computer by Justin "The Geek" Gilson. He has over 15 years of I.T. experience and he breaks down everything you need to do to speed up your computer. This is a good starter course, but if you want more and really want to tune up your computer VERY EASILY. Go check out his page. I just saw that he has coupons right on his course page starting at $15. That's nothing!! Go check it out already and add to the skills you just learned here.

      No response from the instructor

If you have any questions, don't expect them to get answered or responded to. This is a small limited course. My suggestion (if you want a more extensive course taught by an I.T. Professional not a web developer) head over and take a look at my course and see if it's the right fit for you. This might be all you want to learn, but my course is 17 lectures over 1.5 hours of content for as low as $7. Good luck and god speed. Here's my link http://www.udemy.com/speed-up-your-computer It's well worth your time to just take a look. I answer my students questions immediately and hold live interactive sessions where students get to ask ANY question about their computer and I help fix it. -Justin "The Geek" Gilson
