A Quick demo on how to use Photoshop
First things first you need to register with Mail Chimp
Once registered we need to pick a template that will work for us
In the banner section of the template we will create and add a banner
Let now add our teasers to this area I will use this to create a focal point on other courses that I do
We will now finish the News Letter by adding social media links to the base
You need a place to store your subscribers in this video we will create that place
If you need to manually add a subscriber this is how you do it
You need to be able to import and export members/subscribers in this lesson we will do just that.
Its very important to be able to check your News Letter displays correctly in mail clients such as outlook or gmail lets do a test send.
To be able to send your News Template out we need to set up a campaigns, by creating these we can check the stats like opens and links etc.
We will quickly check our send went smoothly.
Checking reports of your campaign is simple enough let take a look.
As well as picking templates from Mail Chimp we can also create our own from scratch.
Short intro on custom templates.
Lets set up a our Doc size and prepare for the forth coming lessons.
OK now lets add a logo and a header section to our design file.
This lesson focuses on creating a nice background image from scratch to add as our banner base.
Having various teaser blocks is a great way to get lots of easy to readt sections into our News Letter.
Call to action buttons really encourage people to click this is preferable to links in many ways but use sparingly!
Lets finish off our Newsletter design.
Using guides enables us to do accurate clipping, we could also do an auto slice with the guides however I am going to manually slice these up.
We need to cut our images out so we can place them in the HTML version
Now we will use Dreamweaver to set up our custom template, first we must tell Dreamweaver where our files are held.
We can contain all our elements within tables, and thats what we shall do now.
Lets carry on designing our News Letter.
We must now set up another table block to hold more of the elements.
Lets now finish up the News Letter.
Quick final check that it all works in the browser.
Now I will show you how to upload your Dreamweaver files to Mail Chimp
