Photoshop: Creating the Cinemagraph
4 Lectures 29:21

Here we'll import our video to Photoshop and start the editing process!

Part 1: The Static Layer

Decide what you want to achieve with your cinemagraph - pick a subject you would like to animate. Then we'll create a 'window' through the still image, to the moving video underneath. You'll start to see results at this point.

Part 2: The Layer Mask / 'The Window'

Check out how I fixed the problem in the previous video. You may encounter similar issues, so I thought it would be a valuable addition to the course to include exactly how I fixed my problem.

Part 3: Fixes and Finishing Touches

Now that we've completed the main part of the creation process, we now need to make our animation loop forever. Cinemagraphs are .gif files that run over and over again seamlessly. This video will teach you how to fix any 'jolts' in your video when it jumps from the end to the beginning. Finally, you'll export your finished, seamlessly-looping cinemagraph, ready to use on the web or wherever you would like.

Part 4: Creating a Seamless Loop and Saving our Cinemagraph
