In this new course Create Unity3D assets and Games with Blender No Coding, Blender and Udemy trainer Thomas mc Donald will guide you through the process of prototyping your very own games using game assets created in Blender. This course uses the free and open source software Blender and a free version of Unity3D and is for beginners with some knowledge of the Blender interface. The course is instructional with all commands clearly stated so students can follow along at their own pace. The course uses Playmaker that must be purchased to follow along fully with the game prototyping of this course.
This course is project based so you will continue to build on the skills you learn in Blender and Unity as we prototype a game using the visual scripting tool Playmaker.
Once you have completed this computer based training course you will be capable of creating your very own game assets using the powerful full feature set available with the Blender software suite, Unity3D and Playmaker.
In this introduction I discuss the software we will use for students to complete this course. This software includes Blender. Unity3d and Playmaker. We will use these three software programs along with Gimp to complete the course.
In this lecture we get some very important add-ons enabled in Blender. These will add functionality that enhance the user experience and increase our workflow efficiency. These include the short cut keys that I will use regularly throughout the course. It's a good idea to become accustomed early on with the use of these keys because they will become second nature must faster as a result.
In this lecture we begin to the model the spaceship. This spaceship will be the main game asset.
