Learn the techniques to creating a realistic draw-on effect. These techniques can be used to create any kind of drawing, text or graphic. We will be covering how to create our drawing utensils inside After Effects as well without any outside resources such as images.
I have provided the project file that I will be using through this course. I supply this in order to allow you to follow along with me as I reference specific compositions and folders. This also allows students to dive into the example compositions and open up the effect properties and play around with properties that we may not have covered in the course.
What are you waiting for? Let's create some completely customizable drawing animations.
In this lesson we will start by talking about how to use the resources I have made available.
In this lesson we cover how to create the final drawing that our pencil will follow.
In this lesson we will be using many shapes to create a more complex object, our pencil.
In this lesson we will use keyframes to start to animate our "draw-on" effect.
In this lesson we will finally track the pencil to the stroke of the drawing to make it look like it is actually writing.
In this lecture we will be putting our final touches on the animation.
Hey! I'm a video design professional and have always had a passion for teaching people what I know. The way I see it, if no one took the time to teach me, I wouldn't be where I am now. It is my turn to pay it forward. What good is knowledge if it is never shared?
