ZBrush 4 R8 New Features

Welcome to this course on the main new features inside of ZBrush 4 R8, watch the introduction to the courses ahead.

Although we don't use many of the download files I have included them here just in case you want to use them.

I have included this beginner guide to navigating in ZBrush just in case your an absolute beginner.

The Gizmo Widget is one of the most useful new features of ZBrush 4 R8 in this lecture I will show you the most common uses for it, we will gradually learn more about this very powerful tool over the next series of lectures.

This lecture shows the align to screen space options in the Gizmo.

The Gizmo has a handy little feature for clipping sub tools let us explore this.

Lets look at the top most icons and what they do from left to right, Sticky mode.

In this lecture I will show you how you can use the IMM brushes and interactively swap out parts using the Gizmo

One of the big features of ZBrush 4 R8 is the live boolian functions this allows you to non destructively subtract, Add or intersect geometry with other sub tools, you even have the ability to create a mesh from it whilst still maintaining the original geometries topology it even puts the pieces into there own poly paint.

Additionally it will also project any poly painting across to the new sub tool!!

Using the new vector displacement brushes is easy lets do it

The new lazy mouse control will give you added control over any stroke and can be used in a variety of ways.

ZBrush 4 R8 now gives you the ability to create text directly via a plugin into ZBrush its quick and very powerful
