Welcome to the Zapier 101 course from Keap Academy - in this introductory module we'll talk about what Zapier is, why this course exists, and review the outline for the upcoming modules.
In this module we'll look at a common way to use Zapier, by zapping information from another tool into Keap. There are a number of reasons why you'd want to use Zapier this way, so we'll discuss what this process might look like for your business.
This module covers zapping information from Keap into another platform. So, if something happens inside Keap and you need another system to know about it, this type of recipe will be what you'd want.
While Zapier is commonly thought of as a connector tool, sometimes you use it just to manipulate information on it's own. In this module we'll talk about using the native Zapier tools, and then returning the data back to Keap.
Zapier isn't a Keap specific tool, so in this module we'll talk about using Zapier for other scenarios in your business, where Keap isn't part of the equation at all.
In this demo we'll look at connecting Keap and Calendly, with Zapier as the bridge between the two systems.
Special thanks to our guest expert, Renée Boudakian from Rapid Marketing Strategies.
There are some scenarios inside Keap where you want to move information around (like from a subscription to a contact record), but the Keap features may not do what we need natively. So in this module we'll meet Mallory, from Plum Crazy Automation, as we look at using Zapier to work around some internal limitations.
In this demo we'll show you how you can pass information from Keap into a Google Sheets for collaboration, advanced reporting, or any other number of purposes. And, as a pro tip, we'll show you an alternate method for triggering a Zapier recipe using an HTTP post.
We've covered a variety of Zapier use cases and examples in this course, but before we wrap things up we wanted to shine a light on a few of the Zapier bells and whistles we haven't touched on yet. In this module we'll introduce Zapier paths, filters, and the concept of sub-zaps.
Nice work - you've made it to the finish line. Before we wrap this course up, let's quickly recap what we've learned, highlight the ways ROI can show up from Zapier, and make some recommendations for what you might do next.
