After completing this lecture, you will be able to understand the role and impact of Youth Think Tanks. You will gain insights into how youth think tanks operate within different cultural and political contexts and their influence on policy and community engagement. You will recognize the challenges faced by youth think tanks in different regions and understand the innovative solutions employed to overcome these challenges.
After completing chapter 2 of this course, you will be able to evaluate and employ various engagement techniques used by youth think tanks to attract and involve a diverse group of young people in advocacy and policymaking. You’ll learn how to design effective outreach programs that maintain youth interest in think tank activities. Additionally, you will gain the ability to implement proven advocacy strategies that have influenced policy at local and national levels. After completing this lecture, you will be able to understand and differentiate between hierarchical, flat, and network structures, and choose the best fit for your youth think tank based on its unique needs and objectives. You will be able also to use your knowledge of various organizational structures to enhance decision-making, streamline workflow, and cultivate a positive organizational culture within your think tank.
After completing this lecture, you will be able to set up a structured governance system by selecting the most appropriate method for establishing your think tank. you will gain the skills to draft the statute and other foundational documents using provided templates, customizing them to fit your think tank's unique needs and legal requirements. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement critical policies such as inclusion, data protection, environmental sustainability, and intellectual property management, ensuring your think tank operates ethically and complies with relevant regulations.
