Khushi is a world traveller, and spends her time between India, Europe and the US. Her family is from the Himalayas, and she loves to trek deep into the mountains to meditate in the vast nature. Khushi has been teaching yoga & meditation for over 12 years, conducts teachers’ trainings and has a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and a Master’s in Public Health, which she combines with her training as a yoga and meditation teacher to serve those in need. Internationally, she serves as a guide through her mindful tourism company Simply Himalaya, taking people on deep immersions into the Himalayas, Guatemala, Europe and other places of strong energy to practice, serve the community and transform through meditation & connection to nature. These retreats serve as a platform to generate funds for APV School, a mindful and holistic primary school in the rural Himalayas of India, and other important progressive school projects such as La Puerta Abierta.
Khushi received her training from the Himalayan Institute, the spearhead humanitarian organization of the great Yogi Swami Rama of the Himalayas. She lived there for 2 years where she served as a karma yogi in the herbal laboratory growing medicinal herbs and creating medicinal tinctures based on the tenets of Ayurveda under the tutelage of Tantric master Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. She has also completed advanced Vinyasa Krama teachers training with Srivatsa Ramaswami, the longest standing student (over 40 years) of the great Sri Krishnamacharya. She feels very blessed to be rooted in two very ancient & strong Yoga lineages. Khushi’s teaching style is rooted in the classical yoga sutras, sanskrit, hatha yoga, tantra & ayurveda. Her background in Vipassana meditation makes her a unique teacher, combining both the teachings of the Buddha and those of Patanjali. Khushi’s teaching speciality is a combination of subtle body energetics, strong alignment, and focus on the higher limbs of Yoga.
