In this session, we will begin by introducing the series and what to expect from it. We will then move into a short body scan based on the practice of Yoga Nidra. Through this meditation, we will bring awareness to the physical sensations in our body, helping us to ground ourselves in the present moment and relax deeply. This session will serve as a foundation for the rest of the course, allowing us to become more relaxed and free of anxiety.
Slow Body Scan:
In this session, we will continue to focus on the practice of body scans, but this time we will move through it at a bit slower pace. By slowing down the practice, we can deepen our awareness of the physical sensations in our body and allow ourselves to fully immerse ourselves in the present moment. This meditation will also help us to cultivate a sense of curiosity and non-judgment towards our bodies, which can be carried into our daily lives.
Continued Slow Body Scan:
In this session, we will once again practice the slow body scan. This will allow us to deepen our understanding of our bodies and become even more attuned to the physical sensations within. By cultivating this awareness, we can begin to notice areas of tension or discomfort and learn to release them.
Quick and Slow:
In this session, we will explore two different versions of body scans. The first will be a quicker version, allowing us to move through the practice with more momentum and observe any immediate sensations in our bodies. We will then follow this with a slower body scan, allowing us to dive deeper into our physical sensations and emotions.
Continued Double Body Scan:
In this session, we will once again practice the double body scan, with both a quick and a slow version. This will help us to deepen our awareness of our bodies and minds. By observing our physical sensations with curiosity and non-judgment, we can learn to respond to them with greater objectivity. Through this practice, we will continue to cultivate a greater sense of release and relaxation in our lives.
