Kids will learn 5 basic Yoga poses today to build the foundation for their yoga practice. These are one of the most common yoga poses to keep our bodies healthy. Kids can practice this as a daily Yoga routine even after they have completed this course. We might repeat some of these yoga poses in the next few lessons to check on our progress in the foundation Yoga poses and build on our practice. These poses will energize your body & relax your mind.

Kids if you feel like doing more today, try Five Finger Breathing Practice. It will improve your focus and calm you by taking slow deep breaths as you trace the outline of your hand with your pointer finger.
Five finger breathing is a mindfulness technique that teaches children how to pause and use their fingers to take five deep breaths. Best thing, it can be done anywhere and anytime

Today we will add on to our yoga practice from yesterday and explore more yoga poses and breathing practices. Let us open our body with some mobility exercises & deep stretches. We will end today’s practice with creative visualization. Experience today slightly deeper stretches to relax & restore.
We will be doing sun salutation in our lessons later but you can get introduced to it now and practice it later again. It's a Yoga sequence with 12 poses in a flow. It has got great health benefits:
Improves concentration.
Enhances memory.
Increases energy levels.
Physical strength and tone muscles.
Calms and focuses the mind.
Makes kids happy ? (not only because it's fun to do , but on the physiologic level)

We will start this lesson with Breathing & Awareness to get our focus for today's practice followed by some stretching. We will also learn a new breathing Practice today “Humming Bee Breath” that will relax you and make you Feel Good !!

Let us tap into some new postures to stretch & we will particularly focus to strengthen our legs through a lower-body Yoga sequence. Our leg muscles are some of the largest muscle groups in our body, so stronger legs will increase our body endurance. They are a key component of having a healthy & high-functioning body.
At the same time find balance & stillness. Don't get discouraged if you find anything tough today. Don’t give up on the impossible before you try it !!! Just try your best. Awaken your body & start your day with a heart full of gratitude for yourself.
Lesson 1 will prepare you for our strength yoga sequence later. Get ready to breathe & have fun with an energizing yoga warm-up.

We will work on the core, lower body, and overall strength of our body that will help you with your total body fitness. Introducing kids to Warrior Yoga sequence for lower body strength & Sun Salutation for overall body strength, boost immunity & improving focus & concentration, Plank & Boat pose for core strength. We will end the practice with some Pranyama & quiet time.

The trataka strengthens eye muscles and improves vision and memory. It also strengthens the ability to concentrate.

Start this lesson with few Deep Breaths. Did you know! Deep breathing is one of the body’s strongest ‘Self-healing’ tools. It lowers blood pressure, reduces heart rate, decreases stress hormones, oxygenates the blood, exercises the lungs, increases physical + mental energy, and improves immunity. Get introduced to “Breath of Fire” and energize yourself. Today’s Breathing & Warm-up lesson is slightly longer than the last few days but I hope you will complete it with your determination.

Our main focus for this lesson will be Balance poses but we will also add poses to improve the flexibility of our bodies. Remember in balance poses, it's pretty normal to lose balance, if that happens just come back in the pose. Don't get discouraged and give your best. With regular practice, your balance will get better too. Be Patient & Enjoy !!!
Kids will learn 3 breathing practices that they can do every day that's a combination of energizing & relaxing breathing practices. These will be followed by a fun yoga warm-up that kids will love practicing every day. Overall this routine will help them relax & improve their flexibility.
