In this video you will learn about Ujjayi breathing and how it will benefit you during your practice.
In this video I will teach you the Vinyasa warm up sequence that opens our practice and threads in between poses throughout the class. This sequence consists of several variations of sun salutations. I will break down the poses found in this sequence along with modifications so you feel comfortable and ready to flow with ease. I will also share options for less or more of a challenge so you can decide what is best for your body on any given day. Let the flow begin!
In Sequence #1 we will break down the first three poses of our Yoga for Back Health class. These poses are:
Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)
Side Angle (Utthita Parsvakonasana)
Triangle (Utthita Trikonasana)
I only use the English translation of these poses in the video but I wanted to include the Sanskrit here for you so you know both names.
In Sequence #2 we will break down the next set of poses in our Yoga for Back Health class. These poses are:
Revolved Triangle (Parivrtta Trikonasana)
Warrior III (Virabhadrasana III)
Tree Pose (Vriksasana)
In this video I will breakdown the next set of poses that are all done in the prone position. These three poses are:
Cobra (Bhujangasana)
Sphinx (Salamba Bhujangasana)
Locust (Salabhasana)
In this video I break down the three poses we do in the seated position:
Staff Pose (Dandasana)
Seated Twist (Marichyasana III)
Boat Pose (Navasana)
In this video I breakdown the three poses we do in a supine position. Those poses are:
Reclining Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose (Supta Padangusthasana) AKA Strap to Foot Pose
Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana)
Supported Bridge
