This course has been designed to provide you with all of the knowledge, skills and tools you need to become an amazing yin yoga teacher and lead your students through wonderful yin yoga classes!
If you are ready to take this inspirational journey, then let's begin!
Learn the four principles of yin yoga: find your edge, stay still, hold long for tissue release, and release with care. Build inner awareness and calm through slow transitions.
Explore the anatomy of yin yoga by examining epithelial, nervous, muscle, and connective tissues, with yin practice mainly affecting muscle and connective tissue.
Explore the three muscle types: smooth, cardiac, and skeletal, how skeletal muscles contract via the sliding filament model, connect to bones by tendons, and how yoga lengthens and strengthens muscles.
Learn why yin yoga is most effective on cold muscles, where short, cold muscles pull more on ligaments, tendons, and connective tissue, while warmer muscles absorb much of the stretch.
Explore connective tissue and its role in the body through yin yoga, focusing on tendons, ligaments, joints, and fascia, and learn how hydration and slow, sustained stress shape their function.
Explore twelve primary meridians, their yin and yang pairs, chi flow timing, emotions, disharmony signs, and yin yoga poses to unblock energy and support health.
Download your workbook and your Anjali Yin Yoga Pose Guide.
I have also added the individual pages from the guide with each pose video for quick reference.
