Description

This course is a beginner-friendly Unity course where you will learn the basics of Unity’s operations, the fundamentals of C#, and how to develop XR applications for Meta Quest. The content includes using the MetaXR All-in-One SDK to grab objects, display controllers, add teleportation features, introduce key functions like passthrough, and create an item-catching game.

In this course, we will cover the following blocks for using the MetaXR All-in-One SDK:

  • Camera Rig

  • Passthrough

  • Controller Tracking

  • Grab Interaction

  • Virtual Hands

  • Poke Interaction

  • Teleport

  • Ray Interaction

  • Distance Grab

  • Touch Hand Grab

  • Real Hands

  • Controller Buttons Mapper

  • Passthrough Window

For the item-catching game, obstacles, score items, and bonus items will fly toward the player. If the controller or hands collide with an obstacle, the score will decrease by 1 point. If the player collides with a score item, 1 point will be added, and if they hit a bonus item, 5 points will be added. The implementation will include collision detection, timer functionality, score display, and sound effects.

You will also get hands-on experience with how to integrate interactive elements in a virtual environment and learn practical skills for developing immersive, engaging, and interactive XR applications.
