Explore Umesha and purposeful vocation to awaken inner clarity and wholeness through four stages. Begin with eight gateways to align life and work through emotional clarity and embodied presence.

Requirements

  • Ideally, you should have completed the Unmesa Foundation Course that provides an overview to the 8 Dimensions of your wellness.

Description

Do you dread Monday mornings, feel disconnected from the work you do, or sense that your career is consuming your life rather than fulfilling it?

This course on Occupational Wellness helps you examine your relationship with work at every level — from whether your work aligns with your values, to whether you feel recognised, empowered, and motivated in what you do. It covers four core pillars — Meaning, Empowerment, Recognition, and Motivation — giving you a practical framework for building a more purposeful and balanced working life.

The course opens with an introduction to the Unmesa gateway of Purposeful Vocation, rooted in the Indic concepts of Swadharma (right duty — doing what is truly yours to do) and Karma-yoga (aligned action — working as an expression of your deepest self). Aligned with the Unmesa stage of Vikāsa (Expansion), this gateway invites you to move from work as obligation to work as expression.

What this course covers:

Meaning — Exploring whether your work is aligned with your core values, whether it allows you to make a difference, and whether it gives your life a sense of purpose

Empowerment — Examining work-life balance, the role of autonomy in job satisfaction, and what it means to pursue your work with genuine passion rather than duty

Recognition — Understanding what professional growth looks like for you, what makes you feel genuinely rewarded, and the role of feeling cared for in the workplace

Motivation — Assessing your satisfaction with your career choices, what makes you look forward to work, and the conditions that create stimulation and fulfilment

What you'll learn:

  • How to assess whether your work is aligned with your values and purpose

  • Practical approaches to improving work-life balance and reclaiming autonomy

  • What genuine professional recognition looks like — and how to seek it

  • How to reignite motivation and find satisfaction in your daily work

  • How occupational wellness connects to your emotional, financial, and social well-being

The course closes with an Unmesa Reflection Journal — a guided inquiry into your relationship with purpose and work, exploring where you feel aligned or disconnected, and what a more intentional working life might look like for you.

This course is for you if:

  • You feel burned out, disengaged, or unfulfilled at work

  • You're questioning whether your career aligns with who you really are

  • You want practical tools to improve work-life balance and find more meaning

  • You're drawn to the idea of work as vocation — not just occupation

Ideally taken after the Foundation Course — Introduction to the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.

Who this course is for:

  • Individuals who feel that their career is a major contributor to their stress and anxiety, and want to better understand the fundamentals of what can help them deal with and maintain a balance in their emotional state.
