Description

Do you feel lonely even when surrounded by people — or find yourself constantly giving in relationships without feeling truly seen or supported in return?

This course on Social Wellness explores the full spectrum of human connection — from your closest relationships to your sense of belonging in wider communities and society. It covers four core pillars — Interaction, Group Affinity, Universal Connection, and Belief in Causes — giving you a practical framework for building a richer, more authentic social life.

The course opens with an introduction to the Unmesa gateway of Relational Harmony, rooted in the Indic concepts of Sahācharya (companionship) and Sambandha (the bonds of relationship). Aligned with the Unmesa stages of Samatva (Alignment) and Vikāsa (Expansion), this gateway explores how we show up in relationships, set boundaries, and cultivate belonging while staying true to ourselves.

What this course covers:

Interaction — Building and maintaining a network of close friends, developing genuine interest in others' lives, and the art of getting along well with different kinds of people

Group Affinity — Learning to balance your own needs with those of the group, providing meaningful support to colleagues and family, and finding your role as a valued member of your communities

Universal Connection — Developing the capacity to listen deeply, feel connected even with strangers, and extend help and empathy beyond your immediate circle

Belief in Causes — Contributing to causes larger than yourself, the value of volunteering, and living with a strong sense of justice and social responsibility

What you'll learn:

  • How to build and sustain a meaningful network of close relationships

  • How to balance your own needs with those of the groups you belong to

  • The practice of deep listening and genuine connection with others

  • How contributing to causes and communities enriches your sense of belonging

  • How social wellness connects to your emotional, occupational, and spiritual well-being

The course closes with an Unmesa Reflection Journal — a guided inquiry into your relational patterns, where you feel most and least seen, the role of boundaries in healthy connection, and the kinds of relationships you wish to cultivate.

This course is for you if:

  • You feel isolated, disconnected, or unfulfilled in your relationships

  • You give a lot in relationships but struggle to receive or set boundaries

  • You want to build deeper, more authentic connections at work and in life

  • You're looking for a structured approach to social well-being beyond small talk

Ideally taken after the Foundation Course — Introduction to the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.

Who this course is for:

  • Individuals who feel that managing Relationships are a major contributor to their stress and anxiety, and want to better understand the fundamentals of what can help them deal with and maintain a balance in their emotional state.
