Susan Newman is a graduate of The School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. She has a certificate in web design from New School University.

In her early career, she worked as an art director and graphic designer for various book publishing companies in New York City including Penguin and Macmillan. She has designed hundreds of book covers in most genres. Her book design work is represented in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.

Susan has received numerous awards in graphic and website design from organizations and publications including the Art Directors Club of New York, Desi, Graphis, the Print Regional Design Annual, The Society of Illustrators, and Graphic Design USA.

Susan created Broadcast Louder, a webinar series for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs that has over 100 webinars/podcasts replaying. Susan is an entrepreneur, brand visibility and visual footprint strategist on a mission to help other creatives and entrepreneurs be as skilled in developing their brand, learning to market and promote their businesses, as they are in creating and developing their products and services. She hosts and celebrates the guest speakers who join in for the “Creativity + Abundance” webinar series, and together they share the most important aspects of running a business, from branding and building the right type of website and e-commerce, to knowing how to sell effectively and build a fan base in social media.

In March 2013, Susan discovered that the public was flocking to podcasts more quickly than webinars, because they could be downloaded and listened to on the go! She created "Suzy Brandtastic" which is a weekly podcast where she interviews entrepreneurs. This series is approaching 100 broadcasts and is cataloged in iTunes.

Susan has always been attracted to organizations and green initiatives that will help the planet. She has donated her design work to a variety of organizations, including the Hoboken 9/11 Memorial Committee, Hoboken Jubilee Center for Children, Central Avenue Special Improvement District (Jersey City Heights), Actors Shakespeare Company at New Jersey City University, Hudson Theatre Ensemble, Planet Cents, Eco Libris, Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Central and South Jersey), Pennsylvania Women's Hall of Achievement, The Ring of Hope Campaign, and Project SOAR.

Susan has been interviewed in print and on the radio about branding, marketing, design, Frogs Are Green and Broadcast Louder’s webinar series. She is a guest blogger for the New York Etsy Group, Circle Marketing, YourTango, and Social Buzz Club.

Susan founded Frogs Are Green to increase awareness about the massive worldwide amphibian decline (up to one-third of species are threatened with extinction). Because frogs are an indicator species of a healthy environment, she hopes to spread the message that healthy frogs mean a healthy planet for all. She is currently writing a K-3 science/art curriculum which she plans to release in time for Fall 2014. The annual contests open on Sept 2, 2014, photography and separately kids art. These contests have expert judges and are open globally and no cost.
