As a Internationally renowned wine expert, I have 40 years’ experience in the industry, beginning with helping my father at our family’s winery when I was a child. I later received my Bachelor’s of Science in Enology from the University of California, Davis, known for offering the best university enology program in the world. My thesis at UC-Davis was on Méthode Champenoise production; thus, while I’m an expert in all areas of wine production and education, I also have a sub-expertise in sparkling wines/champagnes.
Since then, I’ve produced a Top 10 Sparkling Wine, as ranked worldwide by Wine Enthusiast Magazine; been awarded Program of the Year: Wine and Food Pairing by MPI; served the Commonwealth of Virginia as the Wine Representative to Virginia Tourism; and received Cruise Lines and Hotels’ award for Wine Education Program of the Year by Connoisseur Traveler.
Meanwhile, I served as Winemaker/Owner of a winery, hosted TV shows related to epicurean programs in development via Connoisseur Traveler, chaired the Virginia Wine Tourism Office, served as Wine Educator on Wine Cruises for International Cruise Lines and have performed as Wine Show Presenter for Steakhouse chains, attending dozens of restaurant openings across the country, where I taught staff how to properly taste, serve and store wine.
Additionally, I’ve appeared on local and national TV programs – including the CW Network and NBC – in my role as wine expert and educator.
