Description

The Wheel of the Year lies at the heart of Wiccan and Pagan spirituality, symbolising the eternal cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth. It marks the turning of the seasons through eight sacred Sabbats, each representing a moment of transition and celebration within nature’s rhythm. These festivals blend ancient religious honouring with community celebration, reflecting humanity’s connection to the Earth and the divine forces that guide its cycles. In this course, we take a deep dive into each of the eight Sabbats, exploring their origins, meanings, and how they are honoured today. You’ll discover how to decorate a candle representative of each Sabbat, the herbs and trees associated with them, and what to include on your altar to reflect their energies. We’ll also explore traditional rituals, festivities, and symbolic acts that embody the essence of each celebration, helping you to weave the sacred into your own seasonal practice. You’ll also learn about the Esbats, the lunar celebrations held on the thirteen full moons each year. Esbats are dedicated to the Goddess, celebrating her cycles of creation and renewal through worship, magick, and reflection. By the end of this course, you’ll have a clear understanding of how the Wheel of the Year provides spiritual structure and continuity throughout the changing seasons, offering a living framework through which you can build and honour your own meaningful traditions and ceremonies.
